Hardiness Half hardy evergreen shrub
Flowers June to August
Height 1-2m
Spread 1-2m
Conditions  Grow in sun to part shade and well-drained soil

Sow anytime, typically in spring to autumn in a tray of seed compost.    Cover very lightly with compost and keep at 20-25C during the day and 10-15 C at night.  Germination takes a few weeks.  Transplant seedlings to pots when they are about 5cm tall and pinch out the growing tips for bushier plants.

Cut back dead flower stalks after they have died back in the autumn.  You may need to support plants in more exposed gardens and in part shade.  Softwood tip cuttings can be taken from non-flowering stems in spring/summer in a sandy compost mix.
