The first pink Bell Flower to be sown reliably from seed. Campanula ‘Dwarf Pink’ flowers in the first year, has a compact habit and attractive soft pink flowers from June to August.  Plants are not as dwarf as the name implies, just a more manageable size than other varieties, growing to a height of 80-100cm.  Great border plants and cut flowers.

This Bell Flower grows well in full sun and light fertile well drained soil.

Pack of approx 300 small seeds.  Sow in spring or autumn.  Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.

Hardiness Hardy perennial (RHS Hardiness H7)
Flowers June to August
Height 80 - 100cm
Spread 40 - 50cm
Conditions  Grow in full sun to light shade and light fertile well-drained soils.
Sow

Sow in spring or autumn on the surface of a shallow tray of seed compost.  The seeds do not need to be covered.  Do not exclude light and water sparingly.  Keep at 15-18°C and seeds germinate in 2-3 weeks, sometimes up to 2 months.  The seedlings take a while to establish.  Transplant seedlings to pots when big enough to handle and into the garden after the last frost.  Protect autumn sowings in a greenhouse or cold frame.  Early spring sowings flower in the first year.

Grow

Protect young shoots from slugs and snails. Plants may need staking in more exposed gardens. Cut back after flowering to keep a good shape and encourage further flowers.  Mature plants can be divided in autumn or spring.
