Crocosmia 'Sunglow' / Monbretia / Summer Flowering / Bulbs

Crocosmias are lovely plants for beds and borders.  They grow into compact clumbs of sword-like leaves, with sprays of flowers in late summer, from July to September.  This cultivated variety has an abundance of amber yellow flowers on upright stems to a height of about 60cm.  Crocosmias look good growing in drifts in beds and borders, and also in containers.  They are good cut flowers and attract pollinators into the garden.

Crocosmia ‘Sun Glow’ grows best in sun to part shade and fertile well drained soils.  The plants die back in winter, when the can be tidied up, and start growing again in spring.  They can be left in the ground over winter.  In colder gardens, mulch over the bulbs to protect them from heavy frost.

Pack of 10 bulbs.  Plant in March to May directly into unfrozen ground or into containers.  Planting instructions are printed on the packet.
