 Autumn 2017 - sold out,

Hardiness Half hardy deciduous bulbous perennial
Flowers March to May
Height 45cm
Spread 10 - 15cm
Conditions  Sun to part shade and moist, rich, well-drained soil, protected from frosts

Plant outdoors in warmer gardens from September to October/November 5cm deep (with the tips just below the surface) and 10cm apart when the soil is frost-free.  For indoors, plant in pots from September to December with 6 bulbs into a 15cm pot.  Use a gritty (eg 1/3rd grit) fertile compost.  Plant bulbs a week apart for a longer period of flowering in spring.  Keep the pots somewhere cool and shaded for 3-4 weeks until the bulbs start to grow, then bring them indoors onto a sunny windowsill for flowering from early spring.

Remove dead flower stalks.  Let the leaves die down after flowering and remove when they have browned.  Lift and divide the bulbs in the summer when they should be left to dry somewhere warm, such as a warm windowsill or greenhouse before planting again from early autumn.
