Lupin ‘Gallery Blue’ / Lupinus polyphyllus / Seeds

A fine strain of dwarf perennial Lupin, densely packed with blue to mauve flower spikes from May/June to late summer.  Plants grow to a height of 40-50cm and are an excellent choice for summer borders and cut flowers.  

Lupin ‘Gallery Blue’ prefers sun to part shade and light, moderately fertile slightly acidic soil. 
 

Pack of 25 coated seeds.  Sow spring to autumn for next year flowering.  Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.

Conditions  Sun to part shade and light moderately fertile slightly acidic soil
Sow Sow from spring to autumn in trays or pots of seed compost.  Cover lightly with compost or vermiculite. Keep at 18-24°C and germination takes 1-2 weeks.  Transplant seedlings to pots when they are big enough to handle and then out into the garden when frost-free.  Overwinter summer/autumn seedlings in a cold frame or greenhouse before planting out in the spring.  
Grow Remove faded flower stalks to encourage more flowers.  Remove dead plant material in the winter.  Plants start growing again in the spring.
