This is a popular and versatile Creeping Thyme. It produces an evergreen low growing carpet of aromatic green leaves, and a dense display of blueish purple flowers in May right through to the end of summer. Creeping Thyme is good ground cover, nice in rockeries (will trail over walls) and can be used as a lawn. It withstands moderate foot traffic.
Thyme prefers a sunny spot and moist well drained soil. It will tolerate light shade and is very frost hardy.
