Sow

Sow spring or autumn directly into cultivated soil.  Rake over gently.  Sow in patterns (eg circle or cross) with other annual seeds so you can distinguish weed from seed.  Or cultivate the soil 2-3 weeks before sowing and how off the weed seedlings.  This reduces weed competition.  Seeds germinate in 1-3 weeks when the soil is warm enough.  Water seedlings when dry until they are established.

Grow

Plants need little to no attention once they get going.  Remove them after flowering and scatter seeds if you want the plants to self-seed.
