Hardiness Hardy perennial (RHS Hardiness H5)
Flowers June to the first frost
Height 20cm
Spread 10 - 50cm
Conditions  Grow in full sun to light shade and most soils.
Sow

Sow in spring to autumn on the surface of a shallow tray of seed compost.  The seeds do not need to be covered.  Do not exclude light.  Keep at 15-20°C and seeds germinate in 2-4 weeks.  Transplant seedlings to pots when they are big enough to handle and into the garden after the last frost.  Protect autumn sowings in a greenhouse or coldframe over the first winter.  Early spring sowings may flower in the first year.

Grow

Protect young shoots from slugs.  Plants grow quickly once established and need to be controlled.  Cut back after flowering to keep a good shape.
