Courgette 'One Ball' F1 / Round Yellow Courgettes / Seeds

An attractive round yellow courgette with cricket-ball sized fruits from June to September.  The plants are high yielding and the fruits have an excellent flavour. They can be picked as mini-fruits and left on the plant to form midi-sized pumpkins.

Courgette 'One Ball' likes a sunny position and rich moist soil.  It has a bush habit, growing to a height of 60-90cm.  It is easy to grow and look after and will produce lots of fruits from each plant, particularly if they are picked regularly.

Pack of 10 seeds.  Sow indoors in spring for planting out after the last frost, generally mid-May.  Seeds can be sown directly in the soil or outside containers from mid-May to June. Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.

Hardiness Tender annual
Height 60-90cm
Spread 60-100cm
Conditions  Full sun and rich, moist, well drained soil

Sow February to May on the surface of moist seed compost and cover lightly with vermiculite or seed compost.   Keep at 20-25C and germination takes 1-2 weeks.  Transfer seedlings to pots when they are big enough to handle and then plant outside 60-80cm apart, after hardening off and after the last frost.

Grow & Harvest

Courgettes form June to September/October, starting about 12 weeks from sowing.  Pick fruits regularly as a mini-vegetable or when cricket-ball sized.  Pick regularly to encourage more fruiting.  Fruits left on the bush grow into small pumpkins.  Remove plants in autumn once they have finished fruiting.
