Heliophila coronopifolia / Cape Stock or African Blue Flax / Seeds

A fine blue daisy growing in drifts in the Namaqualand daisy fields in the Cape Floral Kingdom in Southern Africa.  This daisy has narrow leaves and upright graceful bright blue flowers in midsummer, and looks best in a garden grown in groups or interspersed with other daisies (such as Osteospermums and Gazanias).  Like many daisies from this area, the flowers close at night and on cold days.

Heliophila likes sun and well drained soil. It will grow 40-60cm tall.

Pack of 50 seeds.  Sow in spring directly in the garden, or start earlier in seed trays.  Plant close together for best impact.  Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.
