An alpine or rock garden plant, originally from Iran, with spikes of blue/mauve flowers in midsummer that contrast well with aromatic blue/green leaves. Lallemantia ‘Blue Snap’ has a dwarf compact form, growing to 20-25cm in height and good for pots, rock gardens and borders.
Lallemantia grows best in full sun and a well drained soil. Plants attract lots of pollinators into the garden. It is a good substitute for invasive mint.
Pack of 30 seeds. Sow anytime, typically spring to autumn. Early spring sowings deliver first year flowers. Keep summer and autumn sowings in a cold frame or greenhouse over winter. Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the label.
