Unusual and attractive plants, with narrow hairy evergreen leaves and small autumn/winter flowerheads on the end of each branch. The leaves and flowers catch the sun and look great early morning and late afternoon with sun behind them. Plants grow to a height of 1-2m, have a light cinnamon scent and attract bees and butterflies into the garden. Also good cut and dried flowers.
Featherheads grow best in sun and well drained sandy neutral to acidic soil. Plants tolerate coastal sites and grow well in pots. These are half hardy plants and need protecting from frosts, so move plants into a greenhouse or conservatory overwinter if you need to. Good for Mediterranean gardens.
Pack of 15 seeds. Sow anytime, typically spring to autumn. Germination is erratic so sow more seeds than you need. Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.
