Erigeron karvinskianus 'Stallone' / Mexican Fleabane / Seeds

A fast growing and densely blooming daisy-like plant with very attractive two-toned flowers, coming out white and gradually turning to pink and purple as they age, from June through to October.  This is a low growing plant, growing to a height of 15-20cm.  It makes excellent ground cover and looks great in rockeries, crevices and containers.  It trails nicely.

This is an improved version of the Profusion strain.

Erigeron grows well in hot sun and well drained soils.

Pack of approx 100 small seeds.  Sow anytime, typically January to May for planting out the same year.  Can be started sooner for early flowering. Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.

Hardiness Hardy semi-evergreen perennial (RHS Hardiness H5)
Flowers June to October
Height 15 - 20cm
Spread 30 - 50cm
Conditions  Full sun to part shade and a wide range of well drained soils
Sow

Sow anytime (January to May is easiest) on the surface of a tray of moist seed compost and do not cover as light is needed for germination.  Keep at 15-20°C and seedlings emerge in 2-3 weeks.  Pot on and grow until the plants are ready to plant out after the last frost.   If sown in spring, plants flower 4-5 months from sowing.  If sown later in the year, protect plants over winter in a greenhouse or cold-frame and plant out after hardening off in spring.

Grow Deadhead plants to prolong flowering.  Trim back plants in autumn after they have finished flowering.
