A handsome British wildflower, and the original plant from which so many garden varieties of hardy Geranium originate. Plants form clumps of leaves and spikes of violet-blue flowers from June to September. The leaves turn an attractive red in autumn. Plants grow to a height of 30-70cm and are good for rockeries, edging and wilder areas of your garden.
Geranium pratense grows best in sun to part shade and moist well drained soil. Plants self-seed moderately in the right conditions.
