Iberis umbellata 'Fairy Mix’/ Candytuft / Hardy Annual / Seeds

Iberis ‘Fairy Mix’ is an attractive pastel-coloured blend of dwarf Candytuft.  These quickly growing plants produce clusters of umbel-like flowers in pink, purple and lilac, flowering all the way through summer from June to the first frost.  They grow to about 25cm in height and look good in pots, fronts of borders and as edging plants. The plants are sweetly scented and attract bees into the garden.

Iberis prefers to grow in full sun and well drained soil. Plants are drought tolerant once established and will grow in rock gardens and rock crevices.

Pack of approx 1000 seeds.  Sow the seeds indoors in spring, or directly in the ground outside in autumn or spring.  Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.

Sow indoors in spring in a tray of compost.  Keep at 15-20°C and germination takes 2-3 weeks.  Transplant seedlings into pots when they are large enough to handle and plant out into the garden when frost free.  Or sow outdoors in spring or autumn, directly into cultivated ground.

Grow Plants need very little care once established.  Remove the plants at the end of the season once they have finished flowering and start again with fresh seed in spring or autumn.
