A spring flowering Ixia with tall spikes of rose-pink flowers from April into June/July. Plants grow sword-shaped leaves during the autumn/winter, with flower spikes growing 30-60cm in height. Flowers of plants grown from seed come out in various shades of pink, sometimes white.
Ixia likes full sun and a well drained soil. It grows during the autumn/winter, flower in spring and then become dormant in the summer, when it needs to dry out. Plants need protection against hard frosts during the winter, and are good pot plantsf or keeping in the greenhouse when frosty.
Pack of 10 seeds. Sow in spring to autumn. Flowering should start in the second year, although some will flower in the first spring from early autumn sowings. Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.
