A great new colour in Rudbeckias and the only red flowered Rudbeckia available from seed.  This 50cm plant displays masses of flowers (8cm across) in beautiful cherry red shades.  Great bed and border plant.  Also good for cut flowers.

Rudbeckia grows best in sun and well drained soil.

Pack of 30 seeds.  Sow in spring and plant out from the end of May after the last frost.  Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.

Hardiness Half hardy annual (RHS Hardiness H3)
Flowers July to the first frost
Height 30-50cm
Spread 20-40cm
Conditions  Sun and well drained soil

Sow in spring on the surface of moist seed compost and keep at 18 to 20C.  Do not cover the seeds, as light is needed for germination, which takes 7 to 10 days.  Grow on at about 15C and transplant into pots when the seedlings are big enough to handle.  Plant out into the garden after the last frost.

Deadhead flowers in the summer.  Remove the plants in autumn or winter after they have flowered.  Sow seeds again in spring.
